Low Dead Space injecting equipment
(2019) (3 mins 22)
This short slide show/animation aims to promote the use of low dead space injecting equipment which has less space between the needle and the plunger after injecting. Blood and drug remain in this space, so if needles are shared the risk of spreading blood borne viruses such as HIV and Hepatitis C is lower when there's less space for blood to be left in the equipment. Dead Space was a collaborative project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)
This longer film (3 mins 22) contains all the messages. There are seven shorter ones focussed on each message, together with low resolution versions for social media, seven posters and a booklet avaialable to download from a separate page.
