Michael Linnell did his first degree in Fine Art and his masters degree in Health Education. He once earned a living by diving off the top of a Transit van into a bucket as part of a comedy acrobatic act. He has spent 30 years working in the drugs sector doing everything from working on needle exchanges when they were still illegal in the U.K, to managing drug research projects in Siberia. His work has involved researching, writing, illustrating and designing information products and campaigns for specific groups of drug users and professionals. He managed the media work of a national drugs charity for 25 years and is an extremely experienced broadcaster and commentator.

Michael is currently developing a range of drug information products under the Linnell Publications brand for Exchange Supplies and developing a network of local drug early warning systems with Public Health England. He is also the current co-ordinator of UK DrugWatch.
