Paranoia and the Don't Care Bears 1991
‘Paranoia and the Don’t care Bears’ looked at the issue of paranoia and psychotic symptoms brought on or triggered by ecstasy use. It was based on the case of a client of the project, but we had changed the details slightly for reasons of confidentiality (his demons were pigs, rather than teddy bears). However, a number of years later we did have a former client come into the project threatening to sue us because he claimed Peanut Pete had ‘stolen his life’, although, thankfully, it wasn’t the same person with the pig paranoia.
‘Paranoia and the Don’t Care Bears’ also saw the first appearance of Peanut Pete’s dozy sidekick ‘Reg’.
